Guinea pig antiserum against calretinin

lyophilized antiserum. No preservatives. 

with 100 µl of bidistilled water. 

This antibody was raised against recombinant mouse calretinin. The antibody reacts with calretinin from all species examined to date, including bovine, rat, mouse, chicken, monkey and human. Excellent staining found in immunohistochemistry on floating sections of 4% PFA-fixed specimens 

Immunohistochemistry with the Avidin-Biotin method: 1:1'000 to 1:5'000. 

Western blots: 1:1’000 to detect calretinin in brain extracts. .

For long storage keep small aliquots of the reconstituted antiserum (e.g. 1 µl) at -80°C (or at least at -20°C). Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
